Are you a fan of crop pant outfits? Are you somewhat unsure how to style them? When I see crop pants in the stores or online, I know Spring and Summer are truly here! I love the summery feel of crop pants, especially in fun prints like those at Talbots. In this post, let me show you six different ways to style crop pants.

Crop pants are typically styled as casual outfits, and would certainly be work appropriate for casual Fridays. But this first of the crop pant outfits is a bit more dressy in that I paired the pants with a white linen blazer. and could therefore go to work or a luncheon with friends.

Here’s a quick video of these six looks:

Outfit #1 of the Crop Pant Outfits

I'm wearing colorful cropped pants with a white linen blazer. Underneath the blazer I am wearing a pretty cotton tank. My handbag is a sharp white pebbled leather tote and I rolled the sleeves of my jacket.

In this first crop pants outfit, I am wearing a darling, substantial cotton tank under a white linen blazer. This blazer is a terrific value (here is a blog about it), and I LOVE it with these pants! The pants are so colorful, but, by wearing them with all white on the top half of my outfit, the color is somewhat subdued.

Here's a close-up of my accessories including a lovely layered silver necklace, diamond stud earrings, a diamond bangle and my stainless Ebel watch.
Above, you can see a close-up of my accessories where I am wearing diamond stud earrings, the layered silver Kendra Scott necklace from Mr. G.Q, and my Ebel watch with a diamond bangle. This is a very classic outfit with the traditional blazer and white pebbled leather bag.

I added nude suede block heel sandals for a bit more polish.

Outfit #2 of the Crop Pant Outfits

Here I changed out the white blazer for a more casual, maybe casual Friday look by wearing a black jean jacket (old, similar, here) over the white tank. I added the Oakley sunglasses and switched to nude, square-toed, flat sandals (similar, here).

Here I paired the colorful crop pants with the same white tank and necklace, but now added my Oakley sunglasses as well as a black jean jacket.
I am wearing the same necklace, watch and earrings as in outfit #1, but, now I've added a collection of silver beaded bracelets.

Again, I am wearing the silver necklace and diamond earrings, but this time, I switched to a collection of very reasonable silver beaded bracelets.

Outfit #3 of the Crop Pant Outfits

Here, I wore a Talbots Perfect White Shirt, with a darling bright pink sweatshirt with the crop pants. Obviously, this is color at its peak! I LOVE color, and I know not all of you do. So as you can see in outfits #1,5, and 6, I downplayed the colorful pants by pairing them with more neutral items for the color-reluctant shopper.

In this fun look, I am wearing the colorful crop pants with a bright pink sweatshirt over a white shirt. My bag is the same white tote as above and I am wearing nude sandals.

In the above flat lay, there is a GREAT pink gingham scarf that I JUST LOVE! I had to wait until it was back in stock to get it. It will be on my Instagram this week, so PLEASE FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM (@drjuliemarshall).

Outfit #4 of the Crop Pant Outfits

Here is a great Spring look where I layered a medium wash jean jacket with a white rolled sleeve tee and cropped pants. For this perfect for running errands or brunch with friends look, I added a red, pink, and gray statement necklace (similar, here), as well as pink-trimmed white sneakers (similar, here), and a small pink crossbody bag.

Outfit #5 of the Crop Pant Outfits

Here I wore the same necklace as in outfit #4, but I changed to the Perfect White Shirt (which I LOVE because it always looks good and crisp!). This time, I added a linen and leather belt from J McLaughlin as well as a wicker bag from the same merchant. J McLaughlin is a small store that carries a small, but classic line of items each season. I especially love their accessories.

Now I am sporting the crop pants with a white shirt that is belted with a linen and leather belt. My wicker bag coordinates with the belt. And I am wearing s pink, red, and gray statement necklace.

Outfit #6 of the Crop Pant Outfits

This was such a fun outfit. Last week, one of my planned items for my Friday video series hadn’t arrived as scheduled via the mail. So, I headed over to the Palm Desert Talbots store to pick up my package in person. While there, I asked my wonderful sales associate, Blake, to snap my photo in my cute crop pants and chambray shirt. He happily complied with my request!

Here I am wearing a great chambray shirt with the crop pants. I have the same belt and wicker bag but now I added a gold watch, rattan earrings, and a gold bangle.

And the red Talbots bag coordinated beautifully with my colorful red, pink and orange pants. The chambray shirt is a lovely neutral that looks great with everything. Same bag and belt as outfit #5, but this time, I popped on some rattan earrings to coordinate with my bag! My watch is gold as is my bracelet (similar, here). Fun, don’t you agree?

Well lovely readers, have I convinced you to get these colorful crop pants? Let me know in the comments below if you like all these colors? Or do you prefer the more subdued variations? Either way, please let me know! I would love to connect with you.

XO,

Dr. Julie
