The other day I thought I would set the table for a Spring dinner. Then Mr. G.Q. and I ate at the table dreaming of future dinners with friends and family. I love a layered look any time of the year. This is my teak outdoor table and I started this tablescape off with a Provencal blue, white and yellow tablecloth that I bought many years ago in Door County, Wisconsin.

Blue White and Yellow Spring Decor and Outfit

Over that I placed brown oval wicker placemats, with white ceramic Crate and Barrel plates and cutlery. My yellow rooster napkins are old. I placed the tablecloth on the diagonal which looks interesting and allows for the use of a shorter cloth than the full length of the table. The votives are simple and yet romantic once the sun sets. The most dramatic aspect of this table is the large bouquet of yellow silk forsythia blooms. I love clustering multiple branches of this flower in a clear tall vase. I placed it at the end of the table so it although it looks pretty, it doesn’t obstruct anyone’s view.

To coordinate with the table, I wore a blue and white embroidered top that I bought last year with Mr. G.Q. when we went on a trip to San Diego. I paired it with an old pair of Christopher Blue ankle pants, and old Stuart Weitzman flat gold sandals. For earrings I wore a pair of white chandelier earrings from my girlfriend, Molly. Lastly I wore a group of silver beaded bracelets (old and from Evereve).

I really think the silk forsythia blossoms look so realistic and interesting. What do you think? I think they say spring is here! Happy Easter weekend! Happy Passover!! And happy Spring!!

XO
