Last night we were invited to my husband’s brother’s home for a post holiday barbecue. It’s always fun to delay the onset of reality after a holiday. So we responded with a resounding “yes” when our sweet brother and his lovely wife invited us for supper. Their home is beautifully landscaped and my husband selected a poolside location for these photos. My outfit is an embroidered cotton blouse (from a shop in Santa Barbara) with Christopher Blue cropper white denim pants. Because it was so cool I topped my outfit with a coral pashmina. Between cool evenings and air conditioning one really can’t have too many wraps! I love how they fold up and slip into most of my bags. I also wore nude suede laser cut block heeled sandals from Stuart Weitzman and lightweight chandelier silver earrings from Amazon. I think the chandelier design really coordinates with the embroidery on my top, don’t you agree?
The evening was perfect. Great barbecued chicken, double baked potatoes and roasted asparagus. We had a wonderful time sitting on their back veranda overlooking their gorgeous pool. Summer can’t last long enough!
