Thursday Night Concert Series

Tonight my hubby and two good friends went out for a fun dinner and concert at Convito Italiano Restaurant in Wilmette. Every Thursday night in June and July there’s a free concert in Plaza del Lago. The concert is outdoors and Convito is a sponsor of the series. We walked around a bit during the concert and then we dined indoors but could still hear the music. Convito is a long-standing restaurant for both lunch and dinner. It also serves a wide array of prepared foods for summer picnics and has a notable wine cellar.

I wore a dark wash denim jacket by AG over a black J.Jill ruffled sleeved top and black gingham ankle pants (also by J.Jill). My shoes were black patent capped toe flats by AGL and my accent accessory was a black and white polka dot scarf with a red border that I found in a vintage clothing store on a recent trip to Athens, Georgia. I think accessories like scarves and pins are easy, fun pieces to pick up in vintage shops. They’re small enough to pack when you’re away and they serve as a happy memory of a previous adventure.
