This past Sunday night my hubby and I had my husband’s brother and family over for dinner.

The menu: Charcuterie platter for appetizers. I purchased a Brie with apricot and a Manchego cheese at the Farmers Market. I added fig and ginger jam from Stonewall Kitchen that I ordered from Amazon. I used an assortment of crackers. The cornichons were from the grocery store. They’re neat because they have a little plastic basket in the jar which allows you to retrieve the gherkins without the juice.

For the entrees we had brats and lamb burgers, nectarine and scallion salad, pesto with cherry tomatoes and grilled veggies.

The table was a cute rooster print tablecloth over which I layered rattan oval placemats (Amazon https://amzn.to/2LxOcUU), and https://amzn.to/2O23d2Pred cotton gingham napkins (Amazon ). For the flowers I used Coke bottles that I spray painted white filled with summer blooms from my yard.

I wore a white cotton beaded tunic from Talbot’s, white cotton ankle pants from Sara Campbell and very fun pink tassel earrings from Amazon https://amzn.to/2LSSQvr (who knew?). Lastly I wore my new favorite madras espadrilles from Talbot’s. The colors in the madras exactly match the colors in the beading of the tunic. I love when that happens, don’t you?
