It’s another cool summer day and I had a few moments to put some things away. I then decided to set the table for my oldest daughter’s birthday dinner which is this upcoming Sunday. I know you’re thinking I must have too much time on my hands. But I like to do stuff when the “feeling moves me”. And I was definitely feeling this tablescape! It started with an old all cotton red tablecloth that has a white running stitch through it. (A solid red one from Amazon https://amzn.to/30keNsk would work as well). Then I layered on these darling watermelon placemats (similar here https://amzn.to/2LvVok4) that I found on sale at Pier One. The red gingham napkins were also found at Pier One and I tied them up with a piece of raffia ribbon from Amazon https://amzn.to/2ZTty9J. I placed three red mason jars (Dollar store) down the center and filled them with silk light green hydrangeas, which happen to be this daughter’s favorite. Lastly the silverware is from her Grandma Mavis who will definitely be at the party “in spirit”.
The advantage to doing this table so early is that i get to enjoy it all week before the event. So often the party goes by too quickly and I miss this fun because I’m rushing just to get it done!
