Have you ever been to the Village Treasure House in Northbrook ? This little jem is a unique, charitable consignment warehouse and showroom. It’s located at 1460 Paddock Drive, Northbrook, Il. It’s open Tuesday—Saturday from 10 AM — 5 PM.
There are many neat aspects to this particular consignment store. First of all they carry great stuff! The inventory changes daily and features upscale and vintage furniture and home furnishings.

The photos are from my most recent quick run through the showroom. Now we’ve all been to creepy consignment places. This is NOT one of those. It’s clean, the staff are friendly and most importantly almost every staff member is a volunteer! Yes you read that correctly. The Village Treasure House is a place staffed by over 100 dedicated volunteers. And most remarkably 100% of their profits go to local agencies serving women and families in crisis. Since their inception in 1998, the Village Treasure House has given away grants totaling $2,500,000!!!

I really enjoy shopping here and have bought various rugs, lamps, decor accessories, cake platters with domes, dressers for my kids’ apartments, and more. The next time you’re thinking of running out for your home, take a quick run through the Village Treasure House. You won’t be disappointed!
