Olive Joggers and Print Halter for a dinner outfit

While visiting my lovely friends, Scott and Colleen, this past week on Kiawah Island I wore olive joggers and a print halter top out to dinner. We went to a wonderful Italian restaurant called Wild Olive. (It is located in an adjacent town called Johns Island. The address is 2867 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, South Carolina, and their phone is 843-737-4177.) I thought it was fun that I wore olive joggers to a restaurant called Wild Olive!

I'm wearing olive linen joggers with a print halter top and I am standing in the garden at the restaurant @Wild Olive on St. Johns Island in South Carolina.

Why Purchase Olive Joggers?

I love the comfort of joggers. They are easy to wear and frequently have a drawstring waist. Many times they are made of a knit fabric. These particular pants from Evereve are especially worthwhile because they are made from a very soft linen blend. I have reached for mine numerous times because while they have a relaxed fit, they are not sloppy.

These joggers feel good even in very humid conditions. They are cute with sneakers as well as dressier sandals. The cuff is made from a soft knit and is not too tight. I LOVE these pants because the fabric content is long-wearing and the soft olive color allows me to wear them from spring all the way through fall. Olive is a wonderful color for transitioning into fall. In the product links below, I have several different olive joggers. See which ones you prefer.

Olive Joggers with a Paisley Top

Another great transitional print is paisley. I love the jewel tones in many paisley prints as they feel so rich and classy at this time of year. I also think that olive blends nicely with these saturated colors. Unfortunately, my top is from last year but I have linked several below. If you don’t love sleeveless or halter tops, consider adding a coordinating cardigan as I did. (Here’s another post about paisley https://drjuliesfunlife.com/?s=paisley)

Accessories to my Look

I added dangly earrings to my outfit as the neckline of my top made a necklace unnecessary. My cotton cardigan helped with the restaurant’s air conditioning. My shoes were honey colored wedge sandals by Cole Haan (old, similar below). My gold mesh watch and gold bangle were warm accents for the richly colored top and cardigan. Overall, this look says, “fall” and I think it was a fun choice for going to the Wild Olive restaurant.

Wild Olive Restaurant

The Wild Olive Restaurant is a happening spot that specializes in Italian food. We had delicious Caesar salads and a gnocchi dish made from cheeses rather than potatoes. Every thing was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. There are fun murals on the walls and cozy tables.

Interesting wine rack with bottles bottles displayed on an angle as well as decorative grapes.

There are artful wine racks and decorative grapes hanging over the bar area.

It’s a spot for couples and larger groups all enjoying the food and drink. The service was excellent and I can readily see why it’s such a favorite spot for locales and visitors alike. If you’re ever in the area, be sure to make a stop for a wonderful meal.

XO,

Dr. Julie
