Yesterday I had multiple workers coming to the house so I decided it was a good day to bake. I made some yummy Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies! I saw this fun variation on the box of brownie mix so I decided to give it a go. It is easy to make and DELICIOUS! Here’s how I made it:
Yummy Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies
Ingredients:
-one package of brownie mix (I used Pillsbury Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix in the 13” x 9” Family Size)
-2/3 cup vegetable oil
-1/4 cup water
-2 eggs
-1 cup creamy peanut butter
-1/4 cup powdered sugar
Steps:
- Set oven for 350 degress. Coat the bottom of a 13” x 9” pan with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together brownie mix, oil, water, and eggs until blended, about 50 strokes.
- Spread into pan.
4. Microwave the peanut butter in a medium sized bowl on HIGH for 30 seconds.
5. Stir in the powdered sugar. Whisk until smooth. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto brownie batter, and then gently swirl with the tip of a knife.
Doesn’t this look pretty? I forgot to take a photo of the unbaked swirled batter, but from this photo you can see the cool-looking swirled pattern.
After the window washers, pool guy, and gardeners were all gone, this is all that was left! I happen to LOVE brownies, but this variation of Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies was a neat switch from my usual one. I hope you try them this weekend. They’re so easy to make and they smell terrific when they’re baking.
Please let me know what variations you make for your brownies. I’m heading back to Chicago (finally) at the end of the month and I need more ideas for my Glamma (Glamorous Grandma) bake-offs that I hope to have with my three grandsons this summer!
Happy Baking!
