Yesterday I met a good friend for lunch at That Little French Guy in Highland Park (1791 St. John’s Avenue) @thatlittlefrenchguy. I briefly mentioned this in an earlier blog but after yesterday’s meal I realized I didn’t do this restaurant justice.

For my meal I had the creamiest scrambled eggs with tomatoes and basil. It came with a perfectly dressed green salad and a toasted and lightly buttered piece of bread. The food was served in two cute bowls situated on a small slate platter with the toast wedged in between them. This presentation was thoughtful and attractive. The food was perfect! For dessert we had one chocolate macaron which was “just enough” to end the lunch.

For this fun event I wore a heather gray sleeveless tee shirt dress from @uniqlo with a cute red print neckerchief from @Madewell. Over the dress I added a white linen long cardigan also from @Uniqlo. My white leather gym shoes were from @Keds and my sweet red leather cross body bag was from @Banana Republic.

This hot spot serves breakfast, lunch and in between every day but Mondays. They’re open from 7AM – 6PM on Tuesday through Saturday and 8AM – 4PM on Sunday. The chef bakes many types of breads, pastries and he’s even planning on making wedding cakes in the near future. Oolala we are so lucky to have that little French guy on our North Shore. Don’t miss this gem!
