Mother’s Day is right around the corner (Sunday, May 12) and of course, it is a day of celebration of our moms. Did you know it is the most popular day and that more phone calls are made on Mother’s Day than any other day of the year?
Wondering what are the most common gifts for Mother’s Day? The top three gifts are flowers, jewelry, and candles.
It might be fun to see what I, as a mom, grandma, and wife, would love for Mother’s Day this year. I went “window shopping” on some of my favorite gift sites and came up with a list of ideas based on my interests.

Mother’s Day Gifts for the Mom Who Loves To Garden:
I love to garden. Growing as many flowers as possible in my yard and flower boxes in Northfield Illinois, is exciting and fun. I am always happy to pull out my tools for the season and start “digging in the dirt”. Thus, this was an easy category for me to consider on my wish list.
1. Flowers
I love to receive fresh flowers! I especially like it when the delivery man shows up over the Mother’s Day weekend and he pulls out a pretty bouquet of already arranged flowers. I like just about any flower except Asiatic lilies as they are so fragrant that they make me get a headache!
2. Cute Gardening Overalls
I find gardening overalls a perfect Mother’s Day Gift for me. They are comfy and easy to wear when stretching into my garden beds. I like having a few pairs as one can be in the wash. These come in lots of colors as well as several prints.
3. New Garden Tools
What gardener wouldn’t be delighted with a new set of gardening tools? These have such lovely handles on them and are so pretty as well as practical.
4. New Pad to Kneel On
I love this bright blue colored pad and it looks especially thick and cozy for my knees when I am planting and weeding away in my yard.
5. Plant Watering Devices
These terra cotta plant watering devices are such a great find! Push them into your pots or flower boxes and add a full water bottle. Water drips out slowly to your plants. Great for hard-to-water pots, vacations, etc.
6. Great Gardening Hat
This is a terrific gardening hat. It’s cute, it shields your face and neck due to the broad brim. And it’s neutral enough to go on your next beach vacation!

7. The Perfect Cookie Cookbook
You had me at “cookie”. Cookies are my favorite food and I was lucky enough to receive this cookbook several years ago from my great friend, Molly. This American Test Kitchen cookbook contains a wealth of cookie-baking tips, tricks, and recipes. You will LOVE this cookbook.
8. Pretty and Practical Silicone Mug Covers
I love my hot tea or coffee to be really hot! To that end, I found these terrific silicone mug covers. They come in a set of six and are currently on sale for less than $7! Such a fun present. Practical, colorful, dishwasher-safe.
9. The Complete Mediterranean Cookbook
I recently started eating a Mediterranean diet because it has many health benefits and uses delicious, nutrient-dense foods I love. This book like gift number seven above is also from the American Test Kitchen. There are 500 delicious recipes that I can’t wait to try!
10. The Cheese Board Deck
This is such a fun and practical gift for the cook who likes to entertain. The Cheese Board Deck contains 50 gorgeously photographed cards of themed cheese and charcuterie boards. It tells you exactly how to recreate the photos. Check it out!
Mother’s Day Gifts for the Mom Who Loves To Walk
I walk 10,000 steps most days. For those days, I love the exercise clothes below. They are comfy, soft, and affordable. They also work for yoga and Pilates.
11. Crazy Yoga Tank Top
I like this tank top because it has a bra built into it. It also comes in lots of terrific colors. I am a 36C so I sized up to a perfect medium.
12. Crazy Yoga Yoga Pants
These buttery soft yoga pants come in lots of colors and they stay UP all day. They have mild tummy control and a side pocket for my phone for walking.
13. Taos Sneakers
I love these sneakers. Terrific arch support. Cool colors. Cute and comfortable. And the zipper makes for easy on and off!

Reading is my favorite go-to activity every night before bed and on many afternoons if I take a nap. ( I read before I fall asleep!).

These are the perfect pajamas for a girl’s trip or vacation! There’s enough coverage to skip a robe. So pretty. So feminine!
18. Gorgeous Flowered Earrings
So pretty! So colorful. So classy! They come in lots of different colors. I like the lilac (pictured) as well as the turquoise.
