Today I went to a bridal shower for my son’s best friend’s fiancée. It was held at the Evanston Golf Club which ironically is located in Skokie (a northern suburb of Chicago). The weather was perfect and the upstairs dining room overlooked the beautiful golf course. The food was delicious. The menu consisted of a mixed greens salad with an Italian vinaigrette, two different types of quiche, hard rolls, and a medley of various fruit sorbets for dessert. The favor was a darling bridal gown shaped iced cookie.

I wore a black and white polka dot jumpsuit with a self belt from Banana Republic. I topped it with a white pique gold buttoned jacket (also from Banana). I wore tobacco suede block heeled sandals from Sam Edelman and my purse was straw with a tobacco leather handle. My pearl necklace was from my mom as was my gold bangle.

For the gifts I wrapped them in gray and white striped paper(Homegoods) and then tied on white tulle ribbon (Amazon). Then for a final touch I added white silk roses and ivy (Pier One) because I found out that these were the flowers for the wedding. Just a little preview of the coming attraction of their upcoming Fall wedding. I can’t wait!
