I wore a black vest by Cabi (old) over black J.Jill cotton essentials pant (this year). I love the narrow leg of these pants with a small slit at the ankle.

For a purse I wore my Coach pebble leather cross body bag, a silver multi-stranded necklace and fun silver sparkly small ball shaped stud earrings from Talbots (this season). I wore black suede AGL ankle booties (this season).

Doesn’t the outfit look more flattering with the black vest? The dark color is slimming and the pointy edges draw the eye down in an attractive way. What do you think? Do you agree?

The last point about this outfit is the dark colors of the print make the outfit look more wintery than if it was a lighter color floral. So even thought I’m in a warmer region of the country, I still like to dress in a seasonal way. If I lived in a cooler spot, I would substitute black knit or wool pants and possibly a black blazer instead of the vest.
