Do you always wear a dress?

Or are you a pants person as that’s what feels the most comfortable for you?

Growing up, my parents did not have much money. But, thanks to their tax return refund, they used that money to buy our whole family cute Easter outfits. My five brothers and I wore that outfit all spring and summer!

I almost always wear a dress for Easter but this year I fell in love with a gorgeous coat from Talbots, Palm Desert when I was in their fashion show this month. As I mentioned in a recent post, clothing sets are BIG this spring! Matching tops and pants, matching tops and skirts, and even matching cardigans with shorts!

But, when I spotted this black jacquard spring coat, I knew I had found what to wear on Easter! It’s so pretty. It’s a classic pattern of white on black and I felt much like Audrey Hepburn when I tried it on. And, the best part is it goes with so many things! Today I will show you how I’m wearing it for Easter, but then in the upcoming week, I’ll show you several enjoyable ways to wear these (mostly) black and white pieces in LOTS of ways!

What to Wear On Easter?

My Easter 2024 Outfit:

If you love black and white, you’ll go crazy for this Best Seller Spring coat! It’s so versatile as well as timeless. Talbots’ iconic Mac coat is elevated with a gorgeous jacquard texture and a geo print. It is accented with sleek button front closures and welt front pockets. It’s truly the perfect outfit topper that never goes out of style.

I’m wearing a terrific jacquard coat, a coordinating black and white knit top, and a pair of white trousers. My pumps are nude (similar, here) and my tote is the exact pattern as the coat! My “diamond” studs are classics and my gold watch and bangle blend nicely with the gold buttons on the top.

Easter Outfits for Church and Can You Wear Pants to Church on Easter?

Most churches allow their parishioners to wear pants on all occasions. The usual preference on Easter is to wear a dressy outfit. My Easter outfit would qualify in most places of worship and Easter Brunch venues.

If you wanted to wear a dress for Easter, my black jacquard tote and coat, this dress would be a terrific choice.

Can You Wear Jeans at Easter Church?

Most places of worship prefer no jeans on Easter. Although outfits have become more casual over recent years, jeans are not an appropriate choice.

What to Wear On Easter When It’s Cold?

Many of us grandparents will travel to our homes for the holiday. What to wear on Easter when it’s cold is always a concern. Certainly, my outfit would still be wearable, but if it was very cold, I would add a black winter coat or a lined trench coat over the jacquard Mac coat.

Your post brings me back to my childhood when my sister and I always had new dresses for Easter mass. Down in Charleston that tradition seems to hold whenever I’m downtown on Easter Sunday.
