Spring is trying to spring so let’s look at Spring Fashion for Women over 40!
Are you a Spring person? Do you even have Spring where you live? Frequntly Chicago goes from 15 to 70 degrees overnight!
Since I spend my Spring in La Quinta, California (near Palm Springs), I usually have a long temperate to hot spring. But this year has been unusually cool so I am just starting to wear my spring apparel. Let’s get to eight of my favorite Spring looks to date. BE SURE to scroll all the way down so you don’t miss a look!

Spring Fashion for Women Over 40
For those of you who are new to me, I am a retired dermatologist turned fashion blogger. I have LOVED fashion since I was a little girl! And since I am retired, I tend to wear styles that are best described as smart casual looks. Please follow me on Instagram @drjuliemarshall as that’s where I share outfits all week long.
Cool Evereve Look
Who doesn’t love a jean jacket for Spring? It’s an effortlessly cool third piece to throw over this black and white striped sweatshirt and these AWESOME Spanx Essentials wide-legged pants made Oprah’s Favorites List! The white quilted cross-body is classy and very current. To see all these pieces, click on this link to “Cool Evereve Look”.

Spring Arrivals J. McLaughlin
These J McLaughlin items are terrific basics! And J. McLaughlin has great spring fashion for women over 40! The tan ribbed sweater works over the shirt and can go great with the tan checked pants as well as white jeans or any type of blue denim. You could also drape the sweater over the shoulders of the blue linen shirt dress. Loafers are BIG this spring and these work well with the dress, pants, or even with shorts come summer. Lastly, I LOVE the purses and totes at J McLaughlin. They are so classic and feminine in their lines. Here are the links to “Spring Arrivals J. McLaughlin”.

Loft Spring Tops and Shoes
Pink is my very favorite color and these Loft tops really caught my eye. These are all on their way to my front door. Stay tuned to my Instagram (@drjuliemarshall) where you’ll see how I put them together. I also love the cute new shoes for spring. Sandals, ballet flats, loafers and sneakers are all the latest looks for spring! Check out these links here!

Great Work Look
As a dermatologist, I wore suits all the time to work. Then once there, I would remove my blazer and put a long white lab coat over my pretty blouses and tops. I ALWAYS accessorized with earrings and fun shoes that my patients freqently noticed. This pretty blue tie blouse is so gorgeous. ALL shades of blue are “in” this spring, but this shaded looks great on practically everyone! And of course, the nude slingback pumps are so versatile! Nude pumps go with everything from this suit, to a dress, to jeans and even longer shorts. Here are the links to this “Great Work Look” post.

Loft Brunch Look
I don’t know about you, but going out to weekend bruch is such a fun way to see your friends! But, you want to look really cute and this knit navy blazer adds just enough polish over the white tee! The gold hammered hoops are a terrific basic and the flowered sneakers just say, “spring”! Here are these links to “the Loft Brunch Look“.

White House Black Market Spring Capsule
This White House Black Market Spring capsule is so sharp! When blogging about spring fashion for women over 40, it’s helpful to show women how several pieces can be worn together. These three black pieces are very versatile. Wear the jacket over the dress for one look. Put the jacket over the pants with either the green or white tops for two more looks. Keep on the jacket and either top, and add your favorite white or blue jeans for four more outfits. The dress can be style with a jean jacket and of course the sexy black pumps work with EVERYTHING! Here are the links to “White House Black Market Spring Capsule”.

Fun Resort Looks
Are you going to need any fun resort looks for your winter getaway? I’ve got you covered with Sundance cataloug styles! I love the boho feel of this top and the blue and white tunic. The bathing suit is very flattering with the ruching and sweetheart neckline. The sandals, earrings, little cross-body bag, and sunglasses are all warm weather essentials. Here are the links to “Fun Resort Looks”.

Spring Break Capsule from Evereve
Look at these playful casual pieces for your spring break adventures! Great denim shorts, a flirty dress, a moto jacket and of course a ruana. All these pieces can be interchanged. Wear the flat sandals by day, and switch to the little nude sandals by night. The caramel colored bag is so versatile. Here are the links to “Spring Break Capsule by Evereve”.
