I’m a firm believer in mixing stripes with prints but I usually follow certain rules when doing so. I keep consistency between the colors of the stripes and the prints. That way my eye isn’t too overwhelmed. Here’s How to Mix Stripes with Animal Prints.

Here I’m wearing a black with gray striped tunic (by Alison Joy, old), with a gray and black leopard tissue paper thin scarf (old) that I wrapped once around my neck. Under the scarf I added a multiple stranded silver beaded necklace from Evereve (old). I love the trick of putting a coordinating necklace under my scarves because if I get hot, I can undo the scarf but still have interest in my other accessories.

My boyfriend jeans are also old and they’re by David Kahn. I popped on my red suede boots from J.Jill (this season) and thought they added nice color to the quiet colors of the rest of my outfit.

Even though I spend most of the winter in California, I enjoy dressing for the seasons with fall-wintery colors early in the year especially when it’s cool outside. If I were back in Chicago ⛄️, I would add a comfy cardigan or fake fur vest to complete the look.

So lovely readers, do you agree that the stripes work with the animal prints? Let me know your thoughts below in the comments section. Happy last week of January!!! Wow 2020 is off to a fast start!
