Don’t you love it when you can find multiple ways to wear a dress?  I especially like it when an outfit can span different seasons, all with a simple change in accessories. Here is a floral dress worn two different ways!

The other day I met a close girlfriend for lunch.  I wanted to wear a dress because a dress is so easy to pop on.  It’s just a “one and done” kind of outfit.

So I wore this darling J.Jill black floral dress with an old Coach tan pebble leather doctor’s bag, and tan suede Stuart Weitzman sandals with a block heel.

Nude sandals are such a great basic item because they literally go with every color clothing and they lengthen one’s leg line because they blend in with one’s leg and foot.  The block heel is another great feature because it is comfortable for walking.

I added an old silver and red long beaded necklace, to emphasize the red in floral pattern, as well as a group of old Evereve beaded bracelets for a layered look.  Lastly I wore an old (15 years or so…) black denim jacket with silver buttons.  Jean jackets are a classic and this one gets trotted out several times each year when I want the crispness of black, but the vibe of denim.

I wore this same dress in January on the blog “A French Outfit for a Dinner with Friends”.  As you can see in that blog I wore a colder weather look complete with the red suede J.Jill booties, and black Cabi fake fur vest.

Isn’t it fun to change the look so drastically on an outfit?  Do you have any similar pieces that are good for “switching it up”?  The real advantage of such looks is that they really expand one’s wardrobe, don’t you agree?
