Last evening it was finally cool enough for a cardigan. I just bought these wide-legged white side button shorts from Banana Republic and wanted to try them out. I like that the fabric is a linen-like weave but is actually made from polyester and rayon.

They are drapey and donā€™t wrinkle which is nice. The cut kind of reminds me of tap pants that you might see on a tap dancer in a Bing Crosby movie! The shorts hit right at my actual waist and there are small front tucks that are attractive. With all the sales at the stores, they were a steal at $16.50!

Cute White Side Button Shorts with a Floral Top

In our backyard we have a very eco-friendly five hole putting green and I thought it would be fun to show it to you with this fun outfit. I paired the shorts with a Loft sleeveless tank that is an interesting combination of navy, white, red, turquoise, and chartreuse. I know it doesnā€™t sound good as I write these colors, but in real life, I love it! I actually have a chartreuse cotton cardigan from J.Crew outlet (old) that was a perfect match!

I wore Stuart Weitzman nude suede laser cut, block-heeled sandal (old) that are comfy and extend my legline due to matching my skin tone. I added silver pearl stud earrings from Talbots, and a silver multi-stranded necklace from Evereve (old).

Even though Iā€™m not a golfer, Mr. G.Q. (who is an AVID one) got a kick out of taking photos out on his putting green.

So lovely readers, do you think this style of short is flattering? Would you wear it? They are VERY comfortable, so I think theyā€™ll be part of my summer line-up. Stay tunedā€¦
